#12: Get Ready With Me for a wedding (GRWM)

Hi everyone!
Today, I’m back with a new article which will be a GRWM. Now, I’ve always wanted to have a blog that would be for girls and boys, but unless you’re a guy who likes wearing make up and dresses, which is totally fine, I’m going to have to let you down on this one.
So I went to a wedding two weeks ago, and I thought you might be interested in seeing how I got prepared, so you could, hopefully, be inspired by that next time you have a big event coming up.
The dress on the pictures I took isn’t the same because my cousin lent me the green one just for the day, but my flowery one could have been great as well :)

                                                    MAKE UP
For the make up, I wanted to stay very natural regarding the foundation but chose to wear a very fancy, metallic eye make up.
First, I applied a moisturizer by Nivea.

It is a step you shouldn’t overlook. Moisturizing your face at least once a day (it’s best to do it twice) is very important. I find that if I don’t, my skin is more sensitive and I tend to have more breakouts, which is a big NO.
Next, I applied this BB Cream by Maybelline, which I absolutely love.

image

It does exactly what it claims. And it’s cheap! I definitely recommend it.
Then, I took the ‘Booing’ concealer by Benefit and applied it under my eyes to cover my dark circles. I mixed the two shades to get one that matches my complexion. I then powdered it with the powder that came in the package. I think it’s the Hello Flawless one.

This cost me 32€ and came with a little foundation and a little ‘Porefessional’, which is very famous in the beauty community. Although this is expensive, it really lasts a loooong time.
Back to the subject, I used the brush to apply the powder under my eyes, and the third brush on the next photo for the rest of my face.

Here’s my baby face when I had done these steps.

image

I chose to skip the blush and bronzer step, because I didn’t think it was necessary.
Moving on to the eyebrows!
My must have regarding eyebrows is this wax crayon by Sumita, which I received in a Glossybox.

image

I know, I need to sharpen it.
Basically, what it does is that it allows your brows to stay in place throughout the day. ...Wax, as I said. I’m lovin’ it!
Then, I take this mini-palette by UNE make up (hello, camera!)

image

and with the pencil that comes with it, I choose the darker colour and fill in my brows.

(Sorry for the blurry picture by the way. My camera wouldn’t focus...)
The most interesting part is the eyes. Be prepared, I took lots of pictures.
First, I’d recommend using a primer so that your eyeshadow doesn’t crease. The one I just finished was the Primer Potion by Urban Decay, which works wonders, except that the shape of the product makes you lose a lot of product.
I decided to use my Naked palette from Urban Decay as well because it has such marvelous colours, but you could choose any similar palette.

image

When you open it, you have a little mirror, which could be useful but I’ve never used it.

image

You can already see how gorgeous the colours are.
For the first step, I used the second pencil on the next picture, taking the biggest side.

image

I then picked the ‘Naked’ eyeshadow and applied it all over my lids.

image

image

After that, I took ‘Sidecar’ and did the same thing.

image

image

Here is what it looks like with a lot more light:

image

After that, you want to take the black shimmery colour, ‘Creep’, and with the other end of the same brush, apply it on the outer corner of your eyes.

image

image

image

Now, with the first brush (on the left of the picture), blend away!

image

image

Now, take my favourite colour: ‘Gunmetal’, and with the bigger end of the second brush, apply on the center of the lid.

image

image

image

You’re almost done! Take ‘Sidecar’ again, and apply on the rest of the lid, next to the inner corner, just to touch up.
And finally, take ‘Virgin’, and apply it on the inner corner and just a little bit under your eyebrows.

image

Once you’ve done that, apply your favourite mascara. Because it makes my lashes look great, I chose this one by Essence:

image

Annnnnd you’re doen with the eyes! Phew!

image

image

I didn’t apply anything on my lips because I thought the the eyes were enough. But if you do want to put something, don’t go too crazy, apply something light.

                                                        HAIR
I wasn’t too original for my hair as I chose to straighten them. But curling them would be even better if you know how to do it! :)

                                                        OUTFIT
So for this, I’m going to show you two outfits. The one that I actually wore to the wedding, is this one:

Unfortunately, I don’t have the prices. If you’re interested in these articles, let me know and I’ll try to find the links, though except for the shoes and tights, they’re a few years old...
Now, because I didn’t have the dress today, i chose another outfit.

I had the same necklacce on the day of the wedding.

This dress is wonderful and is open in the back, so I’d recommend wearing it without a bra. I remember it cost me 30€ two years ago.

And that’s it for today’s article, I hope you liked it!
