#6: February favourites

Hi everyone!
Today I decided to write about things that I (re)discovered in February, because I love watching these videos on YouTube or reading these blog articles.
I chose five categories: musicbookstvbeauty, and other.
Let's get started, shall we? :)

                                                       MUSIC

Sweet Child O'Mine - Guns'N'Roses

I have known this song for a while, but I hadn't listened to it in a loooong time. I stumbled upon it, and I think it might be the song I listened to the most this past month.

All or None - Have Nots

You know that feeling you get when you have so many things to do but you're so lazy you just lay on your bed and rewatch Sherlock for the hundredth time? Well this song gives me energy. I was watching Shameless US and it started playing, and I spaused the episode to shazam the song, because I loved it already.
Oh and even though it gives me energy I still lay on my bed because I'm a lazy sod and hello, Sherlock.

Take Me to Church - Hozier

I can't stop hearing this one on the radio. And it made me like it. I guess, the same way, I'll grow tired of it, but for now, I love it!

Things We Lost in the Fire - Bastille

Just as the last one, I put it on the blog's playlist [Tumblr, not Blogspot], because I can't get enough of it.

> Fleetwood Mac

This is a band I discovered last month by going on my friend Joséphine's blog, moon-light-dance, and I absolutely love their songs. It's from the 70s, back when music was still amazing. I'm kidding, of course. They didn't have the Offspring and Crown the Empire... poor them.
Anyway, among my favourite songs of theirs are Oh Daddy, which you can find on my blog's playlist, The Chain, and I Don't Want to Know.

                                                       BOOKS

Madame Bovary, Gustave Flaubert

No, I'm not crazy! I didn't choose to read this one, I have to, for school. I haven't finished it yet, and I haven't even read half of it. But I did read it a lot in February, so I decided to put it here, also because I enjoyed it. The first part may be boring but the second, which I just started, is a little more enjoyable.

                                                            TV
I didn't get the chance to say that I'm completely addicted to TV Series. Therefore, I may never watch TV, but I spend a lot of time on my computer. Pretty much every minute of the day...... Sorry, not sorry.
Anyway, if you want to see which one I'm watching at the moment, and the films I've seen, go here (it's in French, but you don't need to speak it to understand how the website works): http://www.betaseries.com/membre/themaraudersmap/series

> Shameless US

My cousin hanamatthiwone made me watch this one last summer, and I had stopped at season 3 to continue Supernatural, but I watched series 3, 4 and 5 which is currently being released last month. And I can't get enough of it! I really like how legit it is. They don't try to make life look simple and great, because shit happens, and that's the way it is. I definitely recommend it, if you don't mind NSFW scenes.

> American Horror Story

I've only watched the first season, because I need to catch up with a loooot of different series, but I absolutely loved it. I remember trying to watch it back in 2011, but I got scared 5 minutes after the episode started. I'm glad I finally managed to watch it! It's amazing. It really is. And can we talk about Evan Peters, seriously?

> The IT Crowd

If you love British humour, then go watch this! It's really funny.
I started watching it a year and a half ago, thanks to my English teacher, but then I stopped, and I finally finished the fourth and last season last month. It felt weird, I hate endings.
And I loved Moss's voice. And Roy's Irish accent. And Jen's clumsiness.

> Skins UK

Yet another ending. I love this TV show, I really do, and I've watched it for maybe three years, and I finally finished it. I didn't want to, because I didn't want it to end. But I did, and now I'm sad.
Anyway, I'll always miss the first generation.

> The Lord of the Rings

I'm currently watching the third one, and I can't say anything besides I love it.
Oh, and, Frodo and Sam are meant for each other. Fact.

> Gone Girl

This movie is truly great. I loved the plot, which is completely mad by the way, but I highly recommend it! I won't say much more because I'm afraid I'll spoil the movie.

> Howl's Moving Castle

I used to watch this one a lot when I was a kid, and I recently rewatched it with a friend of mine... Ah, nostalgia, when you got me. Truly magical. I'll always love it.

                                                       BEAUTY

> Dream Pure BB Cream, Maybelline

I don't really like to wear foundation because it doesn't feel comfortable on my skin, so I usually go for a bb cream. I bought this one because my cousin had it and I liked it, and I really wasn't disappointed. It doesn't cover much, but it's not transparent. It lasts well, and it's not sticky. I love it!

                                                       OTHER
I only have one favourite for this category, and it is...

> Knitting

I know, it sounds old-fashioned, but love how relaxing it is. Moreover, I get to knit Harry Potter scarves and this, my friends, is fulfilling.
Maybe for next Christmas I'll be able to knit myself a Weasley sweater?

All right, that is it for today's article! I hope you enjoyed it, if you did please follow this blog and reblog this post so that your followers and theirs can read it and have some fun :)
And if you have some advice for me, or just something nice you want to tell me, message me! I’ll always answer.
Hugs,
Jill♥
